Who We Are

Wild Branch Community is a network of home fellowships of believers in Jesus (Hebrew: Yeshua) and the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob between Houston and Austin, Texas. We are from all countries and ethnic backgrounds, united by our faith in him, wild and native branches of the Olive tree, united in God’s Covenant Commonwealth by our faith in him, and living according to God’s Biblical instructions.

Our mission is to provide a community-based framework by which the people of Central Texas, can know Yeshua, live as his disciples, and grow Godly families. We want to help our region to be a community of people who love God, love our neighbors, and keep the commandments.

The Bridge Bible Study – Teaching and discussion focused on specific, high-priority topics. A monthly gathering for all of Wild Branch Community.

Why “Wild Branch”?

In Romans 11, Paul described the influx of gentile believers in the first century as the branches of wild olive trees grafted into the cultivated tree of Israel. In Ephesians 2:13, he said that we “who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.” We want to become integral members and citizens of the Commonwealth of Israel without losing distinctive qualities that make us valuable additions to God’s Kingdom. Through the cross of Christ, Jew and gentile have been made “one new man in place of two”, sons and daughters together in the one household of God.

What We Believe

We believe that Yeshua (Jesus) is the Messiah and King of Israel, the only begotten Son of God, conceived in Mary by the Holy Spirit, and that He died and was resurrected on the third day.

We believe that the sixty-six books of the Bible are a divinely-inspired, accurate record of God’s interaction with mankind, that the Torah (the first five books), which literally means “instruction”, is the Law of God in written form and the foundation for all other Scripture. We believe that the rest of the Bible builds on and clarifies the Law–which is God’s standard of behavior for all mankind–but can never overrule or change it. While traditions and teachings can be good and helpful, they are not themselves God’s word.

We believe that gentile believers are grafted into Israel through faith in God’s mercy as evidenced in the blood of Yeshua, and that no one can earn citizenship or eternal salvation through any action of their own. We believe that the physical descendants of Jacob are natural born citizens of Israel and Israel will always be God’s chosen people.

Who We Are Not

We are not a Messianic Jewish synagogue, Christian Identity, Hebrew Roots, or Black Hebrew Israelites; all who are willing to set aside their differences and submit to Israel’s Messiah are welcome. We do not believe in salvation by works. We are not a debate club. We are not an arm of the civil government or a public welfare system. We are not beholden to extra-biblical commentaries and teachers. We are not enforcers of doctrinal purity. We are not on a mission to convert Jews to Christianity nor Christians to Judaism.

When & Where We Meet

We gather weekly for prayer, worship, study, and fellowship, with the goal of honoring our Messiah and helping one another to become more like him. We meet in private homes on the weekly Sabbath and for the biblical feast days. We often join with believers from across across Central Texas for monthly gatherings and to celebrate the feasts.
